Following the purchase of Twitter; Elon Musk brought in a group of Journalists to investigate and report with detail to show users previous malfeasance and censorship by the company. This information was disclosed over the end of 2022 and into early 2023 by way of lengthy Twitter threads which encouraged the public’s discussion into how biased the platform was.
These Files showed heavy collusion between the platform and government agencies, mainly the incoming Biden Administration and DNC. Twitter over time had come to a halt in its open forum. They manipulated users speech, shadow banned them, or banned users altogether. They silenced major news like suppressing NY Posts Hunter Biden Laptop scandal. They censored any criticizing viewpoints over COVID-19 and its vaccine. Topics like these all received a “disinformation” warning. White House spokeswoman Kaleigh McEnany even got locked out of her account for mentioning it. Former employee stated that they just “freelanced” such decisions. Twitter shredded any Trump claims of voter fraud throughout the 2020 election. By the time Jan 6th was over, twitter was licking their lips to suspend and eventually ban him on the site.
